Summary:
Looking for an LPN for a long term care facility in MD Essential Job Functions:
Participates in the supervision of nursing assistants, and coordinates the provision of resident care according to the care plans.
Takes an active role in direct patient care.
Participates in the formulation of individualized nursing care plans.
In conjunction with Registered Nurse prepares daily assignment for nursing assistants.
Accompanies the physician on rounds to ensure the exchange of pertinent information.
Ensures that physician's orders are transcribed correctly.
Administers medication and performs treatments (ie- dresses wounds, gives enemas, douches, applies compresses, ice bags and hot water bottles) as ordered by the physician and in accordance with ACTS policies and procedures.
Identifies potential safety hazards and takes appropriate action to correct the situation.
Maintains accurate resident care records and documents pertinent data.
Attends and participates in resident- care meetings, staff meetings and all mandated in-services.
Education &
Experience:
Completion of a state approved Licensed Practical Nurse Program, a current state Licensed Practical Nurse license, current or eligible for certifications in Cardio/Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Intravenous Therapy.
Minimum of one year experience within the geriatric health field.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
