Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location:
Georgetown, MD Description:
Geriatric Nursing Assistant Needed! Shifts:
3p-11p and 11p-7a Duties Include:
1.
Assists residents with basic hygiene and grooming needs including bathing, dressing and undressing, grooming, mouth care and nail care.
2.
Assists residents with toileting needs, (ie- transferring to and from toilets, use of bed pans and changing incontinent products).
3.
Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine residents' needs.
4.
Assists residents with self-administrations of medication under the direction of the resident nurse.
5.
Transports residents, using wheelchair or assists residents to walk.
Education &
Experience:
Education Level:
Current state certification for Nursing Assistant, & has passed the Geriatric Nursing Assistant examination and meets Federal Requirements.
Years of Relevant Work
Experience:
Minimum of six months experience within the geriatric health care field.
